A – Always follow through with any task you say you will take on, or any phone call/email. Your client needs to trust you and rely on you. So only agree to do things that you can achieve and try not to over-promise and then let them down. This goes for suppliers and venues too.

B- Blend in at an event. I do not like to be stood there in full view of guests with a clip board etc. I try to be part of the team who are running the event. For example I will be checking guests are happy, helping serve drinks, moving around with the caterers, organising taxis, greeting suppliers and trying to keep an overview without looking too official.
