Whether you are currently planning weddings or simply aspire to become a professional wedding planner this Masterclass will give you the opportunity to ‘Meet the Masters’ who will teach you all the tricks of the trade and give you insider secrets that can’t be found in any books or websites.

Taking a course in wedding planning, styling or design is an excellent way to gain knowledge of the industry and get you ready for taking that next big step into the world of special events. However, the reality of taking that first step can often be extremely daunting, so the Academy of Wedding and Event Planning in partnership with Wedding and Event Pro is offering you the chance to spend a day with some of Australia’s top wedding experts as part of a Wedding Business Masterclass.

Launching, marketing and growing your wedding business takes a different set of skills to those used when planning and designing a wedding, and this masterclass is your chance to spend time with those people who have been there and experienced setting up and successfully running their own business in the wedding industry.

The date of the Masterclass is October 24 2011 and will be held at our offices in South Melbourne but will also include a couple of visits to some of Melbourne’s top event talent:

  • A behind the scenes visit to Crown Melbourne. This will be your chance to see first hand what is involved in the planning process from the venue side of things. You will visit the kitchen, take a full tour and have the opportunity to chat with staff to ask any questions you may have.
  • Enter a fantasy world as you look around a design warehouse and discover the secrets on just how the designers take a client’s idea and turn it into something amazing with the fabulous team @ Theme from Jak.
  • Spend time with wedding marketing guru, Kylie Carlson, who will give you a fool proof plan to help you successfully market your business.
  • Meet with a successful wedding planner and learn some industry tips and find out just how un-glamorous being a planner really is
  • Receive a structured guide from Wedding and Event Pro on Social Media for your Wedding Business.
  • Take home the podcasts from The Event Solutions Ideas Factory, Las Vegas and here from Preston Bailey, David Tutera, Marcy Blum and many more on their journey in the special events industry

The cost to attend is $395 + GST which includes lunch and the day will run from 09.00am – 5.30pm. To register please click here…
