Most students at the Academy are mature age students ranging from around 23 – 45 and many haven’t been in education in a long time. The thought of sitting exams again is quite off putting to many.
Within the courses offered at the Academy you will never be asked to sit an exam or do a test. What you will be asked to do is demonstrate your knowledge. At the end of every unit there is a Unit Project and this is there simply to allow you to apply the knowledge you’ve learned and for us to be sure you have understood everything before moving on to the next subject.
All our units are clustered together in sections. These sections usually have approximately 4-5 units within them and at the end of each section is an assignment. The assignments are your chance to learn in a different way from how you learn with the course materials. You will work on a fictitious event and your tutor will act as your client providing you with valuable feedback that will accelerate your learning.
