Presenting the Easter Tablescape Winners
Over the Easter period we challenged our students and followers alike to get creative and put together a tablescape using only what they had in their homes and gardens.
And oh my goodness didn’t everyone rise to the challenge.
I can’t tell you how hard it was choosing the winners and as we had so many entries we decided to get the Academy team to choose a winner each and tell us what it was that drew them to their winner.
Kylie’s Winner – Easter Brunch in Mr McGregor’s Potting Shed by Lyndal McKenzie
I absolutely loved the creativity of this design as it appealed on so many levels. I loved Peter Rabbit when I was a kid, in fact all things Beatrix Potter, and this concept flung me straight back to childhood. The design truly appealed to the 5 senses and absolutely told a story. I also loved the different textures and heights used in the design which really gave so much interest to the overall look and feel.

Martha’s Winner – A Classical Music Baroque Inspiration by Magdalena Zofia Żywicka
I love how Magdalena was inspired by the Classical music that reminds her of Easter. Which in turn led her to be inspired by the Baroque era. You can see how she’s translated this concept using just what she had available and bringing it into a more modern setting. I love her creative use of fruit in the centrepiece, tying the colours in with the flowers. Adding the black candles and elegant vintage inspired tableware gives it that feel of a Baroque painting.

Zoe’s Winner – A Peter Rabbit Extravaganza by Tiara Mason
Wow so many that I loved, but this one stood out to me as one that could be very on trend. So many interesting touches, I see something new each time I look at it. I loved the colour combinations and the dimensions she has been able to add with so many textures, levels and materials.
Christine’s Winner – An Eco Friendly Dinner for Four by Catherine
The colours stood out to me immediately and I like that she played with patterns, height and texture. It’s functional, fun and striking. And she embraced the challenge of using what she had and foraging for what else she needed to pull it together.

Bonita’s Winner – Rustic Farm Easter Lunch by Nicola-Anne Bosman
I loved the all the over the top fantasy designs, but ultimately the tablescape design that won my heart was this one. I can imagine a very sophisticated easter brunch happening at this table, the incorporation of feathers into the centrepiece and the use of neutrals was just so pretty. A family celebration that lets the food take centre stage is ultimately what Easter is about for me and my family.

Lisa’s Winner – The Hop Collection by Siobhan & Rebekah
There are actually two designs included, both are beautiful. I love the colour palette, use of texture and attention to detail. The bunnys and eggs work in beautifully and there is even Easter Menus! A lovely mix of natural tones, textured linens, wooden rustic decor with a modern colour palette.
