We all need help with our businesses and any advice we can get should be gratefully received. We are lucky here at the UK Academy of Wedding and Event Planning as we have a stellar group of wedding professionals who have shared their advice and experience with us to share with you.
We asked Louise Beukes from B.Loved Blog to tell us about the best piece of business advice she’d ever been given and how she had used it within her own business. Over to you Louise.

The best business advice I’ve received was not to worry about what everyone else is doing. When you’re first starting out (and admittedly have a bit more time on your hands) it’s so easy to get suckered in to following every blog post, status update and tweet of your competition, and the more you do it the more you’re feel like you’re missing out on the ‘next big thing’.

When I stopped worrying about what everyone else was doing (going cold turkey on Google Reader was not easy!) and focussed on my own business everything suddenly began to make sense. I’ve just launched my own styling business specialising in editorial styling, and am working on a re-launch of my blog b.loved – and it’s so refreshing to be thinking about what my clients and readers ACTUALLY want, rather than what my fellow stylists and bloggers are doing!
Thanks Louise what great advice and good luck with the styling business!
