Last week on Academy TV we looked at what a styled shoot is, why you would do one and the people involved in a styled shoot. In this episode we’re moving onto the exciting part, how to create a concept for a styled shoot. This is where you get to be really creative and start to make sense of all the ideas you’ve had going around your head so they really start to tell a story.
Once you’ve determined a style and a look that is cohesive and easy to sell to those involved the next step is put all this into a Look Book that becomes the full storyboard for your shoot. For our Trend Report shoot we had four different Look Books, one for each theme, and these became the bibles for each look that we were going for. We referred to them regularly and they included details of each element being used within each look. As part of our new E Course on Styled Shoots we show you how to create a Look Book and how to use it with your suppliers.
