Announcing the new Student Showcase

written by

We have some exciting news to share with you all. We have created a Student Showcase section on our Academy Blog which will be going live at the beginning of December.

The idea of the Student Showcase is for us to give you a place to promote yourself, your business (if you have one) and the skills you have acquired through your study with the Academy.

We are inviting all our students to submit their work and be part of this global showcase that covers all the Academy campuses from around the world. As part of the Student Showcase you will receive a profile page where you will be invited to tell us about yourself, your achievements, upload a head shot, list your social media links and website, as well as any testimonials you may have. Think of it as your online wedding and event resume.

You don’t need to have started a business to submit to the Student Showcase. This could be a chance for you to use your best course material. Remember, all your assignments are based on an event, whether it was fictitious or not is irrelevant, you still had to go through the process of planning or designing the event itself. You can also use any mood boards you designed as part of your assignments as your visuals, these can then be submitted along with a good description of what they are, the inspiration behind them and any other relevant information.

If you’ve collaborated on a Styled Shoot, then we’d love you to submit your images and give us a write up on the concept behind it. Any events that you’ve planned or styled can be submitted to the Student Showcase for publication as well. Just remember to make sure you have permission to submit any of the images you want to use or if you submit an inspiration board remember to send us the image credits.

Finally, before you submit make sure you have a suitable head shot to use with your submission as this is a requirement of publication.

We love showing the industry just what our students can do and the new Student Showcase will give us the opportunity to do this so much better. It is our chance to help you promote yourself in a new and innovative way. So take this opportunity and show the world just what you can do.

To see what is required or to submit your work you will need to use this link to register
