A graduate of The Wedding Academy in 2022, Alida how has her own wedding planning business, Alida Weddings. When asked about how she started as a Wedding Planner: ” I was first asked to plan a wedding, as the event planner of an international law firm I lacked specialised experience in wedding ceremonies, and still I knew that I was up to the task. A few months later, when the gorgeous Hungarian bride was walking down a perfectly arranged aisle towards her Mauritian partner, I was certain even, that I wanted to do this for the rest of my life.”
Even though 11 years have passed since then, and she became a mother of 3, Alida has planned countless weddings from the first moment until the last dance step, and still feels the same passion and enthusiasm even now, when it comes to planning a wedding.
For Alida, this is not simply a profession, but a vocation in which every minute is an adventure filled with challenges and opportunities to learn. She tells us; “In my work, I strive for excellence: I make sure to take the burden off the couples’ shoulders during the planning process, as well as on the big day.”
What course and year did you study at The Wedding Academy?
Advanced Certificate in Wedding Planning, Styling & Business, graduated in 2022.
What was your highlights studying with The Wedding Academy?
I agree with Kylie Lang, who said the following: “You ALWAYS can improve your knowledge to a next level.” I absolutely believe in this and even though after 10 years I still thought that this course could give a lot to me. And fortunately it did. First of all I can be a member of a very worthy community. Second, as I specialised in international weddings, taking place in Hungary, I knew that an international course could change lots of things in my working method. And I was right. This was one of my best decisions, to study at the Academy.
What is your role now in weddings?
Founder and Owner of Alida Wedding
How did you find your course assisted you in your career?
It really gave me a lot in my methods and also to try to think more internationally which my clients in abroad really appreciate. And of course my English has improved by the course as well.
