Freelancing, why do it?

Freelancing for other florists is an excellent way to network, build your skills & see how other florists run their business.

You can learn what you like and what you don’t like about how their business is run, observe the logistics behind the wedding before you run your own and use the opportunity to ask questions. Most florists require freelancers when working on larger jobs or installations, so it’s also a fantastic opportunity to work on designs that you may not have open to you when starting out on your own, because remember, your clients book you based on trust. They need to be able to see and trust that you can deliver what they want. So remember to ask permission from the florist you are working for that its ok to post images of their work/designs that you have worked on, as long as you are crediting them correctly, it shouldn’t be a problem.

I would love to join your team to provide support in any way that you may need, whether that is to: process flowers, wash buckets, keep the shop cleaned, help set up events or assist in event strikes.

If you have need to support in coming events, I can be available as soon as (insert date) and my availability is (insert schedule you are generally available.)

I’m sure you receive quite a few requests like this, so I really appreciate you taking the time to consider me as a freelancer. I hope to chat with you soon!
