The Arabian Wedding Academy's Big Day Out

The Academy of Wedding & Event Planning may offer courses online, but that doesn’t mean we are not active in the territories we cover.  We have team members ‘on the ground’ in each country you will find a campus and take pleasure in the close industry ties we have around the world.   An example of this comes to us this week from Dubai and our Arabian Campus, with a report from our Course Advisor Bonita about a recent event she and a number of our students attended.

Arabian Campus Diary Notes by Bonita

The 2016/2017 wedding season has kicked off with a glamorous start in the region.
The time has come for wedding professionals not only to execute painstakingly planned weddings over the course of the next few months, but also to show off creative talents at various upcoming exhibitions and bridal shows.
Some Dubai based students and myself had the pleasure of attending the Quintessentially Atelier event held at the St Regis Dubai a few weeks ago and we were blown away by the exhibitors. There were spectacular cakes, dresses, table settings, invitation concepts, flowers and above all some seriously talented people in attendance ready to engage with brides and our students alike.
It struck me that we are lucky to be involved in an industry where the passion for what it is we do is so evident visually. Wedding fairs and shows are a great place to showcase your talents if you are a wedding industry supplier and a wonderful place for anyone looking to get into the industry to engage with wedding professionals face to face.  All these professionals have worked hard (sometimes against all odds) to achieve success. A wise man once said “Do what you love and never work a day again in your life”. Wedding shows above all are a fabulous place to see the very best of the best on display. Speaking to these professionals you will be inspired and gain insider knowledge of what it is like to be involved in this fabulous industry
If you are considering following your passion for events and weddings, do take a look at our courses, have a chat with me and also attend some wedding fairs. Have a look at not only becoming a wedding planner, but perhaps it might inspire you to become a wedding supplier if that is your passion.
The key with any career change, or embarking on a new course is to find your passion, examine it from every aspect and then go out and live and breathe it. Success will follow. You just have to believe in yourself, dedicate time, energy and effort and go out there and do it.
If you are located in the UAE please contact Bonita to find out more about courses.  If you are located elsewhere in the world, choose the campus closest you and submit a contact form to speak with one our passionate Course Advisors about how you can have a career in the wedding and event industry.
