Rachel is a Melbourne based student studying with our Australian Campus and she chose the Advanced Diploma in Special Event Planning and Design. With a background in retail Rachel was keen to understand all elements of events which is why she chose this course, but her passion lay with not-for-profit sector.
To gain some experience Rachel got herself a job managing weddings and events for a venue as part of the banqueting team, whilst studying her course. She also continued to pursue her passion through a part time job with Soldier On a not-for-profit organisation who help veterans and their families through social events and transitioning from the military into civilian life. Her journey is one of determination and passion and in this interview you’ll see what makes this Aussie girl really tick.
