It doesn’t seem possible that we are nearly in June and almost at the halfway point in the year. I can hardly believe that we are on our 3rd issue of the Wedding Business Magazine, our free bi-monthly digital magazine published by the International Academy of Wedding and Event Planning for those running a business in the wedding and events industry.
For our May issue the theme is branding and everything that makes up this huge topic. We have some fantastic interviews and articles from top experts within the field of branding, along with some articles from our industry professionals who tell their stories of how they have made a success of their own brands, give us top tips for getting smart with your brand and much more.
Our cover story this month is with the uber talented Ceci Johnson of Ceci New York and Ceci Style as she tells us how she took her business from nothing into an internationally renowned brand. Kristin Banta of Kristin Banta Events took time out to talk to us about her take on branding and how she has applied this to become a very successful event producer and TV star.
Fiona Humberstone of the Brand Stylist and author of best selling book How to Style Your Brand, dropped by for an in-depth interview about how to create a brand that packs a punch, and gave us some great insights into how she helps clients really get to know and understand their brands.
Ashley Malone from Ashley and Malone Creative Agency took time out to answer our questions about her 8 steps dating process she uses with her clients when creating a brand and we welcomed two guest columnists for the month, Rafaella Iscra who gave us a report on the Destination Wedding Planning Congress and Shannon DePalma on WedSocial.
Our regular columns with Meghan Ely on WedPR, Kathy DalPra on WedSEO, Tina Reading on WedDigital, Heidi Thompson WedPromo and Emma Etheridge on WedBiz are also packed with great advice and tips.
The images from this issue of the magazine were styled by Pamela Dunn, Wedding Planner and Stylist, and photographed by Cream Photography. We asked Pamela to design a schoolroom for creative professionals within our film studio from which the Academy filmed their latest episodes of Academy TV.
You can get your copy right here by subscribing to our mailing list. It’s free and packed full of great interviews, tips and advice from experts around the globe from the wonderful world of weddings.
