Monday Motivation – Love What You Do

I am very happy to be able to say I Love what I do! In just a few short months my working life has changed drastically for the better, and even the small successes feel wonderful! Nearly a year ago I enrolled on the Diploma in Wedding Planning, Styling & Design with the UK Academy, not knowing where the journey would take me. I was working in the Fashion industry at the time and although I enjoyed the day to day work, the attitude and environment were getting me down. Learning again has proved to be a fun and inspiring experience; despite struggling to be motivated and find my style as a fashion undergraduate in my uni days, I now want to study and look forward to the unit projects and assignments that make up my Diploma course.

I have been incredibly fortunate to also be selected for a job role with the Academy, and working for Kylie and getting to be creative every day is a great experience. Working in this industry is very inspiring and so far I have found it to be a positive and collaborative environment. I have had to make some sacrifices and changes to my lifestyle, but it really has been the best decision I could have made. Today’s motivational quote is about liking yourself, liking what you do and how you do it. But I say go one step further, LOVE yourself, LOVE what you do, LOVE how you do it.
