Do you think you are creative? Well we have a challenge for you!
Calling all students and followers! Today we are launching an exciting new instagram challenge that will get you using your creativity, brainstorming new ideas and flexing your styling skills. The Easter holiday is a few weeks away and many of you will be celebrating with a special family meal or Children’s easter egg hunt. So what better time to put your creativity to practical use?
Easter Styling Instagram Challenge
The Brief
We want you to create a styled tablescape based on the theme of Easter. You can go as traditional or as abstract as you want. If you are a student of the Academy consider what we have taught you and what you know about tablescape design or use this as an opportunity to try your hand at styling your dinner table for the first time. Consider colour palette, florals or props, and the different dining elements.
The Prize
We are excited to announce that our judge for this challenge is none other than styling pro and wedding industry entrepreneur Louise Beukes of B.Loved and the B.Loved Hive. This really is a great opportunity to get your work in front of the industry experts like Louise.
The prize has been provided for us by Styled Images who create beautifully styled images for Creative Entrepreneurs. They are offering the winner a styled images pack of 10 gorgeous images that can be downloaded and used by the winner in accordance with their terms of use. This is a great opportunity to use these professional images to add some creative visuals to your business website or social media or just beautify your personal instagram feed.
Submitting Entries
- All entries should be posted on instagram.
- You must tag @weddingacademylive and use the hastag #easterstylingchallenge
- You can submit entries in several ways and we want you to be creative with this too – you can submit single photos or how about a carousel of photos and video showing the styling process from start to finish? Maybe you want to present your tablescape to us on a video (see Kylie’s tablescape series from last year for inspiration), or perhaps you can get creative with Bommerang?
- Deadline for entries is midnight on the 17th April 2017 and we will announce the winner by Friday the 21st April.
We can’t wait to see what you come up with so get creating! And please share your in progress shots we want to see those research ideas, moodboards or DIY snapshots.
